Auto-reply agent
Let a cloud agent answer a number's incoming messages on its own. Every message the number receives goes to your agent's trigger URL. The agent reads it and replies through the Cloud MCP. Works with n8n, Lindy, Make or your own agent.
Before you start
- Connect your agent to the Cloud MCP, so it can reply.
- Copy your agent's trigger (webhook) URL. It must start with
https://.
Set it up
Step 1. Open your number's page in the portal and find Connect an AI agent (auto-reply).
Step 2. Paste the trigger URL and choose Connect.
Step 3. Copy the signing secret right away. It's shown only once.
Step 4. In your agent, check the X-Bridge-Signature header on each delivery with that secret, the same way as any webhook.
What your agent receives
Each delivery is a message.received event, the same as a webhook. Messages the number sends, from the phone or through the API, fire it too, so skip events where is_from_me is true, or your agent may answer itself. Group messages arrive as well: their chat_jid ends in @g.us, so skip those if your agent should answer only private chats.
Change or stop
Paste a new URL and choose Update. Messages then go to the new URL, with a new signing secret. Choose Stop forwarding to turn it off.
